Smart Phone Car Mounting

Essentially what I'm looking for is a really sleek, secure smart phone mount for my car. I want something that will hold my T-Mobile HTC G2 in place so I can view GPS, maps, & other information without having to fumble with my phone.

I have a 2010 VW Jetta, the dashboard looks like this:

I've seen a few different kinds of mounts stores and online, but I really want to invest a good amount of money into getting a really good one. It doesn't necessarily need to charge it, but it would be a plus.

This year, I'm planning on traveling a lot, and this is something I would be really interested in having.

Any feedback would be awesome.

For starters, your steering wheel is on the wrong side! But seriously, my boss has a real nice set-up, it sits on his air-vent (which seems kinda cheap) but the cable would plug into the USB slot on his CD player and when his phone goes off it fades his radio/music on to mute and plays his ring tone and callers voice through the car speakers. He shouts like hell to talk to the caller, but I'm sure that can be sorted. He uses an iPhone4~ if that helps

These are expensive, but they seem completely worth it.
