AutoCAD 2011 - Tutorial Books?

I've recently come into contact with the latest version of AutoCAD. I haven't used it since 2002 so I was wondering if anyone knew any good books with exercises and everything. I've seen a few on Amazon.com and was going to make a trip to Barnes and Noble tomorrow to look through some. Just wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions.

Don't know of any books myself other than the one I use for my class, but it might be helpful for others to know what you're using AutoCad for... Mechanical/Architecture etc. Unless you just want a general coverage AutoCad book. The one I use for class is "AutoCad and Its Applications - 18th Edition 2011" from Terence M Shumaker/David A. Madsen/David P.Madsen.... if that's of any help. lol

Civil stuff. Basically it'd be design plans ranging from roadways to structural. We didn't learn any kind of CAD or software suites in school so I'm trying to teach myself. Just looking for a general tutorial really.

I thought about ebooks. I'm not sure how well it'd work out. My monitor might be big enough to split between CAD and Reader... That torrent also includes one of the books I was looking at. Maybe I should take a look anyway. I'll shoot a PM your way.

I went through Microstation and AutoCAD courses in school recently, but practically the next quarter completely forgot how to use either. This quarter I've started highway and road design using Microstation/Inroads and AutoCAD/Civil3D so need to brush up on these programs as well. Has anyone found any ebooks for Microstation as well? Two very similar programs just different orders for clicking and I've confused the two already lol

If you are going to use an ebook, I'd suggest getting a second monitor as being able to split up the reader and cad program really helps. Unless you have a huge single monitor you are going to want to be able have that extra area to work with.

Well my monitor is 20 something inches. I don't remember anymore. It's not so bad having AutoCAD on half of it. Worse case scenario is I put the ebook on my laptop next to me.
