Installing Ultimate Collection Abyssea Edition

I'm wondering if I have to uninstall my current installation of FFXI Online & all it's files to install Abyssea content. I'm confused for the most part. I wanted to select the Abyssea add-ons & such for installation and there wasn't an option. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Abyssea, like the previous trilogy of add-on content, is downloaded. You need to add the registration code to your content ID to get access to it. Otherwise, if your install is up-to-date you already have it.

Okay, yeah. I installed everything when I returned to the game about two weeks ago. Are you saying Abyssea would have been installed alongside that and waiting for activation on my content ID? That's already been done, so I should be clear to just jump right into the content, starting by talking to Joachim.

ya, abyssea is installed on your computer, no matter if you own it or not from the game updates. Upon activation of your code for the expansions, the content becomes available.
