I did well at primary school but then did mediocre at high school but then worked my arse off and did well in my final year which meant I got into a good university but then I barely passed most of that and then I worked my arse off in third year and did well and then I did honours and worked my arse off and then I got into a PhD and played FFXI all day for about 2 years then I realised that I should probably be working my arse off so I did that and now I am an "expert in my field" and people have to call me "Dr.". So there you go.
