Ok well, here's the story. My girlfriend is a permanent resident and she has misplaced her green card after moving. She was applying online on uscis.gov and almost immediately after she received a phone call from a lady saying she was with immigrations and she was going to help her through this process. My girlfriend gave her information such as social security, credit card info and the like. It seemed pretty legit, but when I got home I checked her email and it said an application was confirmed from us-immigration.com which I looked up and found to be a scam. Now I believe the woman to work for the us-immigration.com and has scammed my girlfriend. So I need to figure out the best course of action to take from now. I would assume to go to the bank and have them chargeback the money and file a police report? I could use any answers at this point, thanks.
