How many games do you buy per year/ How many platform you own

To go a bit with Ksandra's thread about how much you wanna pay for a game. I've been wondering about this

BG How many games do you buy per year (average) and how many platforms do you buy these games for.

Mobile doesn't count since it's so easy to buy games for that, could give wrong data.

Also if possible don't count pirate games.

Count New and Used games.

So choose 2 answer, 1 for games 1 for platforms

On my side, I buy about 5-10 games per year ( so 1 game per month or 2) and own 3 platforms for these games. WII U PS3 and 3DS.

We talking full price? If so, under 5 games a year. Otherwise, 15+ from Steam sales alone, and I already picked up 10'ish Vita games from the recent anniversary/xmas sales.

I haven't bought anything for PS3 in forever.
Buy most of my stuff on sale on steam. I average maybe 3-5ish games a year, but I buy cheap games as birthday and christmas gifts so if I were to count those, maybe close to 15-20 games/yr.

I used to clean up during steam sales. I still grab the occasional AAA title that's being peddled for $5. But, at this point I have quite a backlog and rarely buy anything. Plus, I've kind of given up on console gaming.

I've probably bought a dozen games in the past year (outside of ME3, they averaged around $5). I've only played through about 2. I just got a new PC to handle games better and the first games I'm going to play are old favorites that I want to play again without performance issues.

Right now, I only plan to get a few new games... when they hit that magic $5 mark.

It honestly depends on the year, but I usually buy 5+ at least. Also usually 3+ systems if we count handhelds. Just a list of stuff I got: MGR, MH3U, EO4, Ni No Kuni, FE:A.

I rarely buy xbox games.

Steam sales not withstanding, usually averaged out to 1 or 2 games a month, though that depends on the release schedule.

Generally buying them at release or scooping up preorder bonuses on games I'm hyped on (Tomb Raider and BioShock this last month).

xbox and pc although I only use my pc for ffxi. I'd say I average about 5 per year. 2012 I bought a few more games than normal due to black friday and receiving numerous gift cards. I don't get hyped for much regarding games anymore because more times than not games are a let down. I am however seriously contemplating getting a ps3 for The Last of Us.

I have a PS3 and a Vita. I buy at most 5 games a year. Last year it was DJ Max Technika Tune, Persona 4 Golden, Virtua Fighter 5 FS, and FFXIII-2. This year I have yet to buy a game, and don't have anything that I'm even anticipating. I've dumped a bunch of money into a DJMT3 machine since moving back to Korea though.

EDIT: I forgot Dragon's Dogma came out last year. That was the 5th game to reach my yearly quota.

My fiancee and I own xbox and ps3, but i just built a sweet pc last september. I only game on PC now, and it's been trending that way for awhile. I have retired entirely from console. I don't care if my woman picks up a game I wanna play for the console, I'd still buy it on PC. Fortunately we had a sit down chat about that this month and she's slowly learning to accept my transition to the pc master race.

Since I only buy stuff on steam it's like maybe 2-3 big title games per year, but let's face it, it's still less than $60 almost every time. I have been buying more indies between $5-10 bucks. I think I probably purchase like 5-6 indies a year in addition to the triple-A titles. It's rare that I get something day 1 though. I did for tomb raider and starcraft cuz I believed the hype and did enjoy both. But like i wanna play RE6 just because I played the others but am waiting to see it for $10 since that is what I wanna pay.

I'd say 8-10 a year, but it really depends on what games come out and what deals I can find . Very few games I'll pick up at release (except last year when Best Buy did that buy 5 games, get $100 promotion..), but if a game I'm interested drops low enough I'll get it. I mostly stick to PS3 and Wii, with the occasional DS game -- since I quit XI, I think the only game in recent memory for PC has been Starcraft. I've got an unfortunate backlog building up that I need to work through at some point which has been doing a great job of preventing me from jumping on random games that have been tempting me.

Personally, I don't buy many games... if any. I do place them on wishlists for my birthday or Christmas.

I have all 3 consoles, and a PSP/DS.

If I do buy games I buy them new.

I counted my PSP/Vita as 1 system so I have 3 systems. PS3, Vita, DS.

I usually end up buying a fair amount of games, although not all brand new day 1s so I voted 10-15.

1-5 games, 2 consoles (Xbox, WiiU), but it should be 3. I also get a lot of mileage out of my 3DS and forgot to count it.

Since my backlog is so huge, I rarely buy games that I want as they come out. They're usually a lot cheaper by the time I'm ready to play them.

We probably only buy like 3-4 games per year and own a PS3 and a Wii (can't think of the last time we bought a game for the Wii though).

I'd totally be for buying more, but few interest me nowadays. MMOs have kinda killed me for offline games as I usually will never beat them. If I do, then that means that game was amazing.
