A caterer at a Tony Hawk event accidently leaked the title of Tony's new game on Instagram

The post has since been deleted. A twitter user was able to grab the post before that happened.

Tony did tease last year that he had a new game on the way, but no further details have been released. Also, because it's bound to come up, THPS4 was the last numbered title. Everything since has had a subtitle.

About time, I just hope it's nothing like THPS HD, the control felt godawful and like they were way out of touch. Bring back the tight and crisp controls the originals had and I am all for this and beyond.

The game, a call-back to the series’ old-school lineage, will combine the series’ finely-tuned gameplay with new additions such as power-ups and the ability to shoot projectiles for specific missions. It offers a new set of levels, each with their own objectives and missions playable solo or with friends via online co-op or competitive play. The skate park creator will also return, allowing players to share their created parks online.

Yay for new Tony Hawk, but god damn those graphics are horrid.

'eh, they look serviceable enough, assuming this isn't going to be a $60 title. The stages also look rather clutter free also which I'm liking, as opposed to cramming it with unnecessary detail and props for what's supposed to be arcade gameplay.

I would hope to god they fixed the physics since HD though since it's the same group working on this, and HD was a sluggish unresponsive mess to play through for anyone intimately familiar with the earlier THPSs.

Pro Skater 5 will not be a budget downloadable but will instead be a full retail release at full price, at least according to a recent listing by online retailer Amazon.

Amazon currently list the upcoming arcade skater as being $59.99 on PS4 and Xbox One with the PS3 and Xbox 360 editions being listed as $39.99.
