Summary: Riki was a child when his parents died, leaving him hopeless and depressed. What saved him was a group of four kids calling themselves the Little Busters. They took Riki out and played with him during his time of need. He really enjoyed being together with them, and his grief gradually faded away. Now in his second year of high school they still hang out, fight and live together, and enjoy their school life.

Huzzah! More Key anime!

Just watched the first 2 eps.
Seems pretty good, sort of a typical Key anime along with some good humor.
Less like Kanon, Air, and Clannad, and more like AngelBeats; less sad, and more upbeat.. at least so far. It has a sense of something ominous in the background.

Fuck yes Rin, she is awesome and I love her.
While I don't quite get the ominous feels from this show yet you know they've gotta be there eventually because it's Key.

Some of the characters are...erm...annoying, but hopefully they get better/less screentime...

This is still entertaining, but if you've seen any Key anime before I'm guessing you already know the characters well enough. Still holding out for the weird mystery things that I hope will come.

Looks like it'll be a 2 season show (52 episodes).

The breakdown was hard to watch, and so sad on top of the fact that it is a kitten that died, but then to trigger the memory of the brother and all the happy times they spend together. Key are so evil.

Quite often the emotions feel really contrived in Key stories. This is one place where I feel they're just making drama just to make drama. I just felt absolutely nothing for this girl and her problem.

I'm sure it was more impactful in the VN, but this anime arc just ain't doing it for me. I hope the other girls' arcs are actually more emotional. The buildup usually takes a while though (like with Kanon and Clannad, they only got REALLY good around the middle/end).

And what is with Key abusing/killing cats? lol
I still find it difficult to watch the "toss the cat off the bridge" scene in Kanon.

Little Busters Ep26(Season 1 End)

While I initially started watching it mostly to see how bad it could possibly be, it turned out to be actually enjoyable in many ways. That's not to say the production values are outstanding, nor is the story really well written. It's mostly stupid. But there's still some sort of charm there which makes it entertaining in a crazy messed up sort of way.

My Guess Season 2 will be this Fall.

I gave up on watching this around episode 5, well, gave up is a strong word. I just wasn't interested in how many dumb girls they could surround some hopeless wimp with. I'll give it a chance now that it's all over, but not exactly expecting amazing things given what I've seen so far.

As a player of the visual novel, this adaptation steals quite a bit of the magic of it. I wish we had gotten a Clannad level adaptation and not a Tsukihime level one.

Little Busters! Ecstacy was an updated adult version of the original Little Busters! romance adventure game with added and modified scenarios. Key, an adult game brand of Visual Art's, first released Little Busters! Ecstacy in 2008, one year after the original game. The Little Busters! EX anime web page shows the two heroines (Kanata Futaki, Sasami Sasasegawa) who were made more prominent in the Little Busters! Ecstacy game, and the game's added heroine, Saya Tokido.

Yeah I have no idea how this will be handled.
