Crazy idea. Mission; Possible? How?

I recently got a cheap pair of headphones for my 3DS since my sister's been yelling at me. Trouble is I sat on them an' they broke

I'm gonna get a new pair but since I'm at my pc a lot so I can look up faqs and stuff and I use a headset on that anyway; is there a cord or something I can get at Radio Shack to pipe the sound though my PC's sound ports from my headphone jack on the 3DS? I'm sure there's a way and that would be a way I can do it and not disturb the house!

A 3.5mm male to male lead connected to the line-in port on the PC should work.

Yeah that works. I do that to get audio from my ps3 to my headphones.

Thanks! I'll make a radio shack run with my MB manual in hand so I can get the right cord; the idea is this'd let me use my headset (which i use for headphones when I'm not using the mic on it) so I don't blast the whole house.

Wish me luck. And let's hope I don't sit on another pair of headphones later hm?

It's just a generic lead with headphone jacks on either end like these, no need for the manual.

My bad, but gonna make sure I have the manual out so I know exactly where to plug it in, it's kinda hard to tell when it's behind the pc. Still..

I hope I don't bust another pair of headphones; I found that pair useful while I had them for gaming on the go and for using my Kindle Fire on the go, shame they broke. (Rather not use expensive headphones on the go; you break those really easily. As I proved.)

Anyway after a heckava day on the road, I now have the cord and a new pair of headphones. Tried out the cord on this; works nicely if I'm sitting at my pc gaming--well, after I turned Line In on with my sound driver. Headphones of course are if I take it to my bed or on the go. No more bustin' headphones, I'd say and it makes more sense to not have to juggle two pairs while I'm at the pc.

It should keep my sister happy too when she's trying to sleep and I wanna bust out with Zelda or one of my DS games I got earlier or Animal Crossing. ^^
