SE now bans for being critical of them...2 weeks no official forums for me lol

Apprently i was banned (and im damn sure others will be) for being not so happy with the game. i got 2 weeks because i was questioning why the mods started to suddenly in a day lock multiple threads not being positive about the game and wanting change. Most of the threads were very long and had 100-300 upvotes about the subject. Here is what i got suspended for and ...oddly enough "why" is because you cant be critcal of SE...they no likey:

?A bit weird a thread got that big, that many upvotes, got locked for no reason (if you read the last page which im sure some of you have...it wasnt off topic at all) and is now deleted from the pages and not able to be seen in my post history.

SO whats the deal? Are they not happy with a legit thread that wasnt so uppidy on the game? Why delete it when its been locked for only a day?

That thread also got locked after about a dozen pages and i want the first one to question the locking of the thread in question, you can see it from other players in other threads now, i just so happen to start a thread about it.

Lesson, dont criticize SE or they will ban you. If you want to see the email in full il upload it.

If someone on bg locked a thread and someone posted another to circumvent it, you would get in trouble, too.

Hell half of the threads on the site are just people not liking the game as is...its sort of sad because the game has potential and 1.23 had even more potential they threw away.

What I want to know is how many times are people going to keep comparing a 10+ year old game with basically a 5 month old game? I see it in like every thread on the official forums. If they want a game like FFXI then why don't they just go subscribe and play it?

How is it not common knowledge by now that SE just blindly bans the crap out of anyone on the official forums who gets reported enough? It doesn't matter what it is that you post, you can be banned for it. If you say "I love fluffy kittens!" somebody can report you for discrimination against non fluffy kittens, and BOOM banned.

Square have been banning for many months on the XIV forums, they have a zero tolerance approach because they fear the negative tone that keeps building there.

They think that simply silencing the negative posters they can quell the negativity, it doesn't work like that though. The reason most don't know about this zero tolerance banning action is because there is never any notification of people being banned, they simply stop posting. I wished more people would state when they do this, you would be surprised how many they remove. Another poster made a topic on the official XI forums because he was banned from the XIV forums too.

The XIV dev team are afraid, it's as simple as that. It's not a Square demand, almost nobody gets banned from the XI forums, this is right from the demand of the XIV team.

Everyone who has ever been flattened by SEs ban hammer simply because somebody got butthurt and mashed the report button, I'd imagine.

You can't fight it either. It really is permanent. If you call or put in a ticket they'll just run you in circles until you eventually give up.

Because even FFXI isn't like the old FFXI anymore.
There's nowhere to get that experience... except some FFXI private servers (which many people don't even know exist.)

It's no secret OF is complete shit or at least I didn't think it was. I'm a bit disappointed with the game, but I just don't play. If they haven't got it by now they'll never get it. It's been 2 years of nonstop feedback lol

Got permabanned within the first week for suggesting that some posters cool their pants and relax while SE worked on some hotfixes. For that I got a 3 day suspension that after numerous days of deliberation by a pack of chicken shit mods they rolled in a permanent vacation absolutely free.

So basically SE can suck a dick. Look forward to it.

Then have to read over and over how it is nothing like XI ------- I would ban you for your unoriginal thread as well. I'm sorry, but it's just annoying to see. XI was a great experience. That was 10+ years ago, 3+ Final Fantasy releases ago, and an entire generation of directors and producers "ago."

This dude on my server plays the "All I told them to do was calm down and got the banhammer" card too, which sounds all innocent, but if you read his post it was pretty close to "Shut your fucking twat you cockmongler." And like everyone else has said, there's a reason we make fun of the OF -- they're fucking idiots.
