LGBT organization Impulse Group South Florida is under fire after hosting a highly publicized pool party event titled "Get Wet" at the recently renovated Vagabond Hotel in Miami where they imposed a very controversial entry fee: If you're over 40, pay up. Those wishing to attend the event who were under the age of 40, were admitted free into the Vagabond, but if you were a 41-year-old or older then a $50 donation to the group was required.

I imagine the thought process is akin to straight bars charging dudes cover and letting chicks get in free. Or gay bars charging girls cover and guys get in free.

50$ is ridiculous though. They should just "charge" everyone a 15$ donation or something. Probably wasn't thought out too well.

Well, 40 is practically dead in gay years. Even 30 is ancient. Personally, if I go to a gay pool party it's to see the hot half-naked young guys, not 40 year-olds.

Never been to one though, don't think that would fly well in Stockholm. People would throw a bitch fit and it would make front-page news for discrimination.
