i composed this 3 days ago for a movie...its still in the process of adding more tracks to it..

its called Shinnkai, means deep blue ocean in japanese...ull get the feeling if u listen closley

this is what i can make atm, im working on becoming better...im sure im just a begginer and i never studied music..

Although I liked it, the middle bit didn't quite fit, but the end and beginning was good.

The following depends on your ability to recieve constructive criticism.

It is a good start, I would say that what you have would make a good backdrop for a musical piece, but 4 minutes of the same sound without any deviation to keep the listener on their toes makes them forget about it.

As you said it'd probably be good if you are on a trip, but for the musical piece to be complete, you'd have to add a bit to it.

That being said, you said it was for a movie, so depending on the scene it was written for it might fit perfectly, i'm looking at it more as a independant musical piece. Since i'm a guitar enthusiast (and player) i would say add a slow paced clean tone melody with fairly high reverb and chorus on, and maybe throw in a 2 second delay or something to trip it out a little more. Also, follow the basic sound progression with the guitar, and it'd sound pretty sweet.

Edit: Just for reference, listen to Pink Floyds 'delicate sounds of thunder' intro and that's sorta what i'm eluding to, minus the delay.

Just to clarify the song: It's called 'Shine on you crazy diamond' from the delicate sounds of thunder album. Sorry i forgot that i have the whole album on one mp3 and it's the intro song. It's also the live version.
