WTF Heim's Earring?

Ok, this is really really wierd. For a long time Heim's Earring has been absent on Unicorn. But now...

Anybody know why? I'm thinking ??? items might be the cause and if so might have huge consequences in this game.

Didn't someone here post a SS of that showing up as an appraised ??? drop? Spamming Assault would definately produce a few if that was the case.

I suppose they could have quietly fixed a NM somewhere, much like they stealth repaired the RSE throwing item NMs. I'm leaning towards the "I saw a SS already" theory tho.

Definitely comes from Assault.

My assault group also got a really bizarre furniture -- http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?fitem=7950
Cleaning tool set. Not even listed on Somepage, because it's so old and nobody ever figured out how to obtain, so it was assumed to be a dead item.

No idea what moghancement/strength...I should ask Akeimi what we found out about it.

defoliate still drops heim's earring though, some guy acutally popped it and killed it on quetz.

Well, the ??? items are described as ancient items that are too old and dirty to recognize. That would fit some of those items that have been in the dats since the beginning but never implemented.

I want to see those Ifrit Mitts, personally.
