after a couple of weeks w/o my computer, i finally got it back up and running. ive currently run into yet another problem. after reformatting, i have no sound and cant recognize any sound devices. i had my onboard sound turned off and my sound card w/ updated drivers(i believe) it none of it would work. i tried re-sitting the sound card and it still didnt work. i took it completely out and enabled my onboard sound and still nothing worked. the sound card is a cheap sb live 5.1 and the motherboard is a gigabyte. i dont remember the model of gigabyte that i have and i cant seem to figure out where to find it(el oh el) so i havnt updated the mobo drivers. any help is greatly appreciated.
