I just started doing this zone with 5 people and am going for the clear but we ran into a problem on the 3rd floor tonight (The one w/ the Inhumer Skeles and the Corse Boss). The Boss gave us a lot of trouble and we ended up getting booted on time after the first wipe when we rushed into his fight without really preparing. The charm isn't such a problem but we'll be getting those Merrow lockets next time as added protection but the really low damage he takes is. I can't really see us beating this guy in a resonable amount of time when we try again on Wed. Is it normal for him to be taking only like 5-30 dmg a Katana? Our MNK also is pretty pimped and doing 2300+ Asuran Fists to the Crabs and Skeles but hit only 450 on his Asuran Fists and not nearly as much per fist on the boss. Our RDM's Thunder 3 also only did like 55.

I heard that some floors the bosses are weakened by killing the regular mobs but this shouldn't be the case with us as we cleared the floor and also on the floor below we killed the Kraken before finishing the crabs but he was no more difficult than normal so I doubt that applies to this zone. My group is BRD RDM NIN THF MNK so anyone else have a better idea of what to do or just straight up whittle him down?

It takes damage normally as far as I remember, but there's nothing special to it really <.< Just a normal corse

Wierd because it was a major pain in the ass tonight. I don't fight Corse's that often but do they/this one have and dmg reduction moves or spells I didn't notice? I'm the BRD so i was only half paying attention at the start of the fight so I may have missed something...

I clear it regularly with 5....thf nin nin brd rdm. Just has higher def.

Why not just have the Rdm or Brd Dispel the Charm? Or is that Assault NPC only?

Merrow locket = lolUseless.

BLM nukes were hitting for pretty normal damage on it.
If someone gets charmed just sleep em and continue fighting.

That unfortunately only works on Lamia 13.

That, and it takes an eon to fully dispel a player. I've only ever got to the charm in Lamia 13 once on a player before it wore (Always seems to be the last thing dispelled).

Our blu does want to try the blu move that steals a buff and see if she can charm swap though.. lol

I don't think it's any different than the rest of the zone. I pull 2k Steel Cyclones on him all the time. My SC gear isn't that geat, no double attack, no brd.

Do you really WANT to avoid that charm? I mean, at least in my opinion, if I'm in range of charm, I'm most likely a melee, and will have a decent amount of aggro. If all the other melees get charmed, and I'm in the middle of all of them, that pretty much guarantees that, instead of being charmed and a mage kiting me (and everyone else), that the whole mob is going to absolutely slaughter me, THEN chase after the mage while I'm dead instead.

I did SE last week and the NM wasn't too awful. He did seem a bit more buff VS. melee than the other mobs but I just chalked it up to higher defense.

He managed to charm one person...our BLM. She took hate off me with a nuke just long enough to get Charmed. Then she proceeded to draw her Staff and swing fiercely at my back side while we finished the NM.

Much cute girly laughter as she hollered over Vent for a Sleep before she could kick my ass. So cute. :D
