    Rescuing Prisoners

After rescuing a prisoner from a beastmen stronghold, any idea how long it takes for that NPC to reappear in Al Zibbi?

I just rescued Chayaya so I can get a damned Warriors Die for my 49 COR and he is refusing to spawn.. Is it like reset at JP midnight or something?

Whenever I rescue prisoners from Mamook it takes around 30 minutes for them to run back.

While I have no proof to back it up-- I think its a safe bet that it takes the same amount of time for an NPC to run back from their prison to Al Zahbi as it takes the Beastmen to travel to Al Zahbi (the only possible exception being Lamia-- I don't know how the Lamia travel, if they use ships or not. The NPC might have to use the boat to get back or try a Runic Portal or something).

Lamia travel the fastest, but not by more then 10 mins though. I haven't freed anyone myself from them yet, but I know it takes awhile for them to respawn, check in next vana'day if worried. Doesn't mean they'll be up yet, could take about an hour.

It is kind of annoying. They warp out of their cells, how long could it possibly take to meander from their home points back to where they stand all the time?

I can tell you that the one time I rescued Zazarg from Mamook I waited around for 20 minutes or so before I got bored and went to do other things.

Maybe it's not Warp but Escape and they have to run back?

Well Chayaya respawned after about an hour. When I rescued him it looked like he used a silent oil so I guess he walked back all the way from Arrapaggo.

Nah he just took one of the horridly long boat rides.

Why don't they just cast it from inside the cell?

Because it's really a Salvage cell.

Probably because there is a null-magic/item field in the cell...

    I'm just making it up.

Oh, and I forgot to mention the horrible dream I had last night. Square decided that people weren't rescuing enough prisoners, so they made it so that players would be captured instead of NPCs. Sadly, people stayed locked up for weeks.
