Lag issues

i usually play on ps2. yes the graphics are shit but when im in places like a loaded aery, my menu options, the speed at which i can scroll a menu such as a spell list remain at a very high rate of speed, almost normal if not normal. now i went out and bought the 360 version for shits n giggles. i went to cerb today and couldnt even scroll the spell menu without it being slow as dirt. inside cities it operates with no lag and seems superior to the ps2 in terms of lag issues. but is this lag im speaking of actually normal of that for 360. i wanna hope there would be a way around it. there's no way i can tank in aery if thats any indication of how bad the spikes are sometimes. suggestions or even cases related are greatly appreciated ahead of time.

Turn of all effects and uhh... that's about it. Not much you can really do about. I'm slave to the above console myself and missed several MBs in Aery because of the lag spikes.

On 360, I notice it lags hell of a lot; So it's normal.
