    My DS screen :(

Ok, now, I'm talking about the bottom half of my DS screen, the part you tap.

Here's a diagram to show you my problem:

OK, so there's a small protection screen over the part you actually tap, it's probley the thing that, when touches the bottom part, let's the DS know you've tapped it. The top part of mine is bowed up a little bit, which is quite annoying considering I have to tap harder in the middle than the sides.

How can i fix this, and will Nintendo fix it for free if i send it to them?

Not sure if it's possible to fix yourself by what you said, but if you send it back to Nintendo they'll do it for free as long as you have an outstanding warranty I understand. If not you might have to pay but don't quote me I'm not sure

So I could bring it to the Nintendo World here and show them the problem and they would fix it? Or would I have to do something different?

They'll probably give you an address to send it off to, they probably don't have a tech support centre there but I may be wrong

All manufacturers warranty work must be done at a warranty centre. I know that Nintendo of Canada and their warranty repair centre is located in Richmond, BC if you're in Canada. I believe there's 3 or 4 places where you can send your stuff to in the US. Probably one on the West coast, one in the mid-west/south, and one on the Eastern seaboard. You do, however, have to pay for shipping and handling - though you may be able to get Nintendo to reimburse you for those costs if you ask one of their CSRs.

Call Nintendo USA/Canada tech support first to inquire about it.

Oh, and FYI Nintendo's full manufacturers warranty only lasts for 9 months. They likely have a longer, but more limited, warranty but you may have to pay additional costs.

PS: I don't know how much of this is current. This is just info I remember from the years at EB.

But it's a metroid! Hugeness is forgivable for metroids.

I'd say to send it in, skimming their site a little brought this up:

Due to the construction of the lower (touch) screen on the Nintendo DS, it is not possible to replace its screen cover without special facilities and tools. As a result, we are unable to offer personal screen cover replacement kits for the lower (touch) screen at this time.

Nintendo's warranty does not cover physical damage (such as a scratched screen on a handheld unit). If your Nintendo DS needs repair or replacement due to physical damage, and is within the warranty period, please call our Consumer Service department at 1-800-255-3700 to discuss available repair options.
