Manly game is manly. Even the instruction book takes a slam at RPGs.
I love this game.

The nostalgia factor is over 9000, but is damn good.

Anyone get that achievement on XBL for beating Contra in like 11 minutes or w/e it is? Shit is crazy
Does the Konami code work for Contra 4, that'd be cool if it did for old times sake![]()
Is it as retardly hard as the PS2 Contra a few years ago?
I know Contra games are supposed to be hard but that game was just mind numbing.
Contra taught me what suicide meant when I was 5 years old playing with my cousins. It was so fucking hard and unforgiving I thought for the first time that I wanted to kill myself by hanging from the ceiling fan, and this one is just as hard, god i love it.
Super C or original Contra? I've beaten the original without dying - never played Super C.Originally Posted by Bebopaloo

It's all reflexes and memorization. Once you get that, Contra really isn't that hard unless you're playing on Hard. Then it's just faster reflexes and having harder shit to memorize. Still fun though.

Theres also vertical scrolling levels in super C, not like normal contra vertical scrollers but you can actually control your character in 8 different directions.
