    Piscean Casters (sp?)

I see these npc's everywhere in the windurst areas. I see them running through Meriphataud sometimes and occassionally running through other zones just to warp as they reach that areas stronghold. I have also seen them running around in Windurst waters each running to one of the campaign leader npc's such as Gariri, Kayeel-Payeel, and that taru sch npc forgot his name just to warp when they reach them.

I know other nation's have their own version of these guys. I'm curious does anyone know what their objective or purpose is? -My guess would be they are the reconnaissance group of Windurst maybe?

    Re: Piscean Casters (sp?)

I've seen "Badger" somethings from sandy, was it Gold Badger Esquire? the badger in the name really caught my eye for some reason. They functioned the same way, and I haven't seen them outside of Jugner.

I have seen piscaen from windy though, like mad inside Garlaige. They always seem to show up just before a campaign.

As for something to confirm, the badgers that ran into NPC's fighting campaign mobs in Jugner, did in fact assist. The others across from them and out of aggro/assist range just walked to the tower and warped as you described.

Ive seen the Badger Esquires in Ronfaure, I believe. Theyre maybe 2-3(maybe more?) Galkas in Shamans cloaks. Ive seen them appear and run in circles around an active Campaign for a short time and then all warp away. They run pretty quick too, if my memory serves me right.

p.s. Grey, that avatar is hilarious. I rofled :]

It could just be I notice the Galkas more because all of the Sandy NPCs are elvaan.

Each nation/force (except the Kindred; we'll probably see their equivalent when they open up the north) seems to have a version of these guys in each of their areas. (In groups of 6 each.)

    San d'Oria: Gold Badger Esquire
    Bastok: 4th Legionnaire
    Windurst: Piscean Caster
    Orcs: Clan Bear Fighter
    Quadav: Bu'Dho's Shieldwarrior
    Yagudo: Divine Pilgrim

Is there any story to them about why they seem so rogue?

Piscean Caster's don't seem to even help fight. I was soloing a campaign mob and 2 walked right through me in the space of a couple of minutes at Fort Karugo-Narugo. No idea what they're supposed to do.

Wish they'd add a troupe of NPC's that cure aggroed like Pixies do.

I've seen both Galkan and Elvaan Badgers, but never both at the same fight

They were all born between February 19 and March 20?

I haven't seen them yet, at least I don't remember seeing them.

I remember seeing the Pscean Casters in Fort Karugo-Narugo with 2 other legions of NPC's. If I remember right their leader I forget his name, possibly something like Kaori-Maori) is a taru with an Ice Elemental and Thunder Elemental called Ice Fiend and Thunder Fiend repsectively. When Kaori-Maori casts Freeze2, both his eles cast it at the same time too. Pretty Badass.

On a side note I love the Taru SMN in Autere gear who summons worms, He may be confused but that's just funny to see 5-6 worms pop and beat down on a mob.

Kayeel-Payeel is the guy that summons the fiends, and his dudes are the Aquarians I think. The Pisceans and their equivalents don't seem to have any leader and act different or something. (I saw the Sando/Yag versions just walking around.)

    Re: Piscean Casters (sp?)

Was doing the Sandy quest for Angelstone in Jugner, a Golden Bear Esquire I believe (elvaan female in parade cuirass) ran past.

Was scouting in Karugo for an attack, went up north and saw a Piscean in Houppelande and Vsallet run up and warp away.

Also, aren't Bu'Dho's the grunts teamed with Hundredfist?

Think those might be Waughroon (or maybe Qulun) Heavyshells. Not sure.

Saw a group of Badgers in Jugner [S] on Asura last night about 3 AM EST... Ran up dramatically during campaign, and... all warped immediately.
He who fights and runs away lives to run away, another day I guess. o_o

    Re: Piscean Casters (sp?)

I've seen these guys (elvaan Gold Esquires) a number of times in Jugner. They almost always run up and warp away. Last night I saw two of them, and one of them warped, but the other one actually attacked some orcs. I'm not sure why he attacked when the one right next to him just warped and left him there.

My theory, which has no basis in anything, is that these NPCs are scouts who warp back to town to tell the command that Jugner is under attack so that command can then send a troop of actual combat soldiers. A lot of times there aren't any NPCs when the fight starts, but a group pops in halfway through to assist; perhaps they are arriving as a result of receiving intel from the guys who warp.

    But probably not.
