Music Making Programs

I am looking for a program that lets you create music on your computer, where everything is in the program but your vocals.
You can control what beats are where, but, you don't need to play any instruments to make the music.

I know my friend has made some cool stuff from Apple's GarageBand, but I don't have a Mac...

Does anyone know of any that are good for the PC?

I think it could be a cool thing to mess with if I could find a good one

Fruity Loops is real nice.

FruityLoops, Drum Kits From Hell, and Live are all good ones.

Just putting some more positive feedback in for Fruity Loops. There's also Plasma Cakewalk. I've used both and they're fine software.
