Kupo is a sky LS, leader is Lilpea I think? With the other linkshell being sky only too, it'd probably be safe to assume he's really got no end-game knowledge (aside from sky, lol). Otherwise, no real drama as far as I remember.

The Black Omen is a social/sky LS. I see them around doing other stuff from time to time.
I've seen Kupo and Fate pearls around but have no idea what they do.

Have been friends with Dray for quite awhile, very nice guy.

I don't know much about endgame skill, but we merited a few times and I don't remember dying ^^. Also helped him on a few missions, all of which went smoothly. On character alone he would have my recommendation, and he seems pretty passionate about both of his jobs.
