I'm a big fan of playing Heavy in TF2, it's just a class I like and if I'm on Dustbowl or Goldrush I can usually find myself in the top 3 on a good day.

I didn't own TF2 when the Medic and Pyro updates came in so I don't know if achievements will use any of your current stats (ie kills/class) toward new achievements.

I realllllllly wanna buy Orange Box for my 360 but the only thing holding me back is the lack of DLC for TF2. After hearing news about it for months, I hope they get around to it because it really is a fun game to play.

I wouldn't mind paying in all honesty. I just don't want to drop $20 on a few weapons and a few maps. I'd be fine with maybe something between $5 and $10 if it came with every update.

steel is a pretty good map. I've been playing it on the server I frequent for about 2+ months I'd guess.

Can't wait for the details, I'd like to play heavy more often.

So the new map announced yesterday, Badwater Basin, looks like it's going to be a Demoman's paradise with all the choke points and high vantages for the defenders.

That's really going to help the Heavy be an effective area denial defender. As it stands, a lot of people are content to take the peppering if they think they can outmanoeuvre a heavy - I'm talking to you Pyros. However, this new weapon will give the heavy a chance to actually create effective covering fire, either for advancing teammates or against incomming enemies.

Honestly, because I find so many opponents willing to just run right into my minigun's fire I tend to play Heavy a bit more aggressively than others simply because I can't seem to be effective in achieving a good area of denial effect. (Right now Demomen are the best of this with their stickbombs)

Seems like a pretty balanced weapon, and could prove to be a major hit for defenders on Dustbowl and Goldrush maps.
