returning to game now, need help ASAP

I just need someone to call me and talk to me and explain a few things real fast. As you guys know, I was here waaaaaay back in 2002-2004...so a lot has changed. I will give my phone number, but please dont be insane when you call. Just need some tips to set up my keys and stuff, no gil, no runs through anything, just a little "idiot help". Please be nice when you call.

To setup your gamepad you need to use the FFXI config tool. You can find it in start menu --> programs --> playonline --> FFXI.

Keep in mind while it seems everyone and their brother has a 75 PL on follow behind them, not everyone does. Don't stress it.

(And gil is darned easy to make. It's hard not to make money in this game.)

If you can't stand people making post like this, why don't you create a whole section about that kind of stuff 'cause honnestly i'm interested to read. I also don't get why people complain about that kind of stuff because most of the time you can tell by the threads name/first post if it's something you consider worth reading. Why people log in to reply to a thread they don't like is beyond me.

My understanding was that Blue Gartr existed in general to collect game information. Sure, there is Spam and General, but if every princess who thought their road from 1 - 75 is special made a damn livejournal on here, I'm sure that the site would get bloated really quickly. While possibly entertaining, I don't necessarly see a whole lot of factual information comming out of a project like this that people don't already know. That's why it doesn't belong here, in my opinion.

Many members here have blogs. I had one I used to try to maintain. When I found out new information and posted it there, I also posted it here. The beauty of it was, BG would get just the facts without any of the personal filler crap.

Putting a link to his online journal in his signature is most likely the best idea. That way, if people want to go read it, they can.

LJ formatting is much better for what you're trying to do I think. Forum posting kind of sucks for blogging (makes sense... it's a forum...). I do see people do this kind of thing on like Alla though.
