Macbook Pro - Airport Problems.

I wanted to know if any mac users on the board had any experience with leopard automatically changing the settings for wireless after creating a custom profile. Right now i'm trying to connect to my school's network via 802.1x and I've had two separate techs set it up (amazingly enough, in two completely different ways), only to revert itself hours later after multiple sleepings, or a shutdown. I just got the damned laptop today due to my other going out on me, and I've had to jury rig my old laptop to be the WLAN for a router so I can connect to something I was connected to no more than two hours ago.

You should be able to set it up just like your old one where you can automatically connect to certain networks w/e you have the computer close enuff. There should be a p/w that you use to connect to the wireless/wired network, just have your computer remember that p/w and you should be fine.
