An interesting proposition: La Vaule/Beadeaux(S)/Castle Oz(S) Ownership and You!

The main goal is to unlock new bc fights in beastmen strongholds for stuff like witch sash

Ownership of the opposing beast-men strongholds is nothing short of difficult, if not, usually impossible for many people. I've decided that there are a few interesting ways to counter this, although each a little difficult to accomplish without a large group.

My idea is simply to allow each server to have a chance of obtaining gear that is otherwise unobtainable without ownership of each individual stronghold.

This is the shortest i can put it, please add information / criticize (as i love critique). All comments are welcome \(`-')b

Two ways to do this: (your city must be in control of the surrounding areas to do either 'suggested strategy'!)

First off: (allied forces of altana!) = AFA !

Secondly: Make sure this is started a few hours before tally completion, to ensure vicroty!

Option A: NPC battle! (The goal is to use allied forces of altana to your advantage and let them destroy each enemy Leader in place of PC.)

    - Have 3 to 6 mages, mixed up as brd rdm whm or any mage/whm.

    - Run to the Campaign area, where mobs are ready to pop, be patient!

    - Have someone watching as NPC friendly forces start their run to the 'target' (the ??? that they hit, of course)

    - NPC Logic: "I will attack the first hostile entity i see that is within my programming!" (IE: orcs/yagudo/quadav/etc)

    _____________________________________

    - The Goal: Success by NPC.

    - Use a suicidal bard/whm with RR song (or two) as they approach

    - Suicide bard, diaga the group, lead the horde away from the camp! (make sure you don't run a path into where the friendly A.F.A. NPC usually run through, or the plan is FUBAR'd)

    - Whitemage, please use Flash onto the "Leader/General" as the A.F.A.

    - Whitemage, now please run that enemy leader into the entire batallion of AFA

    - Other mages, assist by pulling mobs away if the bard's sac attempt was not successful

    - Once successful, this plan is incredibly awesome.

    Lastly:

Option B: PC Battle Same strategy, wait for campaign to start, make use of any/all equipment with campaign bonuses, replace A.F.A. with your alliances. Twice as nice if A.F.A. decides to show up mid battle.

Original Credit goes to the TW/NA coalition combined efforts on Slyph around 1AM to 6 AM est\(`-')b got the bastards down to almost 1/4 control

Sandy managed to get around 1/3 influence last night. The problem is now, around 10 hours later we have no influence at all. Also sometimes the NPCs will ignore a bunch of mobs waiting and run in and die instead. Idiots.

its easier to pull off in la vaule and beadeaux i think, castle oz is a bit tricky (only watched tw do it in oztroja) participated in the ownage of la vaule and beadeaux and it was awesome~

from what i've seen though, they tend to target from far away, so having a lookout before sac pull is always Fantastico

why not just do this late saturday night, early sunday (est), before conquest tally and before the beastmen have a chance to rebuild? doing it now is retarded, they still have half a week to rebuild and i doubt any group can keep momentum that long.

The way people got influence on odin was by getting a group of 18 people and killing all the campaign mobs without campaign even starting. You'll still get influence just if you fail you'll lose exp. They literally did that for the entire saturday straight

I'm not all that familiar with how campaign works, but I've been checking the map repeatedly to see if any campaign battles are underway in the strongholds, and I've yet to see any. Sandoria controls every other zone save Vunkerl Inlet. Are we basically going to need to control every other zone in order for campaign battles to occur in La Vaule? That looks likely to be the case come Sunday anyway, but is there anyway to pull this off this week without losing tons of experience fighting without tags?

Do the mobs still link when you do that? Because La Vaule gets completely packed by pretty much every group possible + 6 mantlets between most campaigns on Bahamut.

They may not aggro outside of Campaign, but they sure do still link. Probably why they had 18 people.

My server's sandy is currently the only nation with every area, except La Vaule. One time I went to a campaign there for the hell of it. I saw that the people were pulling mobs to the narrow valley that leads from the first open area to the fortifications so that Uriel Blade guy could AOE-OHKO the shit mobs.

It may not be perfect when a campaign isn't on, but it seems like as good as spot as any to set up camp, so to speak.

We had a little effort on Carbuncle for this. People would pull out mobs from La Vaule into the hallway for the NPCs to grab them. It all worked quite well for some time. but the NPCs randomly chose to hop over the little hill and charge into the middle of the enemy mob with 30+ enemies while ignoring any mobs people pulled close to them.
