Comes out the 16th of November. Anyone else gonna get it for the Ps3? I'm looking forward to going online with the flash or scorpion and kicking some ass.

I'll pass on this one, I think the game is going to be garbage. Played it at comicon and didnt like it, wasnt finished but didnt like it.
Teen-rated Mortal Kombat = No thanks
They've already nerfed one of Joker's fatalities to "Ensure the Teen rating"
Fuck Boon, Tobias, and Midway. MK will never be what it was in the 90's
Then perhaps not all is lost after all!Fuck Boon, Tobias, and Midway. MK will never be what it was in the 90's
If this and the new twisted metal sucks I don't know what I will doThey are slowly killing great games from the 90s.
They pussyed up the game so kids could play it basicaly and its quite lame that they did. Looks like Street Fighter 4 is only fighter I'll be getting.
Kids would bug their parents to buy it for them even if it was rated M anyways. I played the shit out of the Mortal Kombat series back as a kid.
A (spiritual I guess) Mortal Kombat without assloads of blood gushing about an brutal fatalities is just a waste.
(I can respect DC wanting them to hold back on fatalities against *their* characters, but not to the point where it's ruining what the series once meant)
Then you really must not enjoy the other ones, because they're about as bad as a fighting game can be.
MK1 wasn't good, but Mortal Kombat 2 and to an extent 3 were good games
If you were a Capcom/SNK fan, you weren't an MK fan and vice-versa, that's how it usually was back in the mid-90's
I was a huge MK2/KI fan, not a fan of the Capcom/SNK fighters
More like fans of style-over-substance vs substance-over-style.
Though, the style of Mortal Kombat is roughly on the same level as Street Fighter II: The Movie: The Game.
EDIT: And not wanting it to be like the 90s doesn't mean I want the 00s Mortal Kombats either.
EDIT 2: Well, Shaolin Monks wasn't THAT bad.
Both MKII and SFII-Movie Game used the same ugly digital picture style. How could a 3d game look like either of them?
Style is a vague term that could easily be (and was) misconstrued into meaning something different than I was thinking of
It looked like a bad idea at the start, now removing things from the game to make it Teen rated makes it a big pass in my book. MK was all about beating your opponent into a bloody pulp before killing him/her in the goriest way possible. Next thing you know we'll see a nicer version of Scorpion, "PLEASE GET OVER HERE!!"
