I originally started on Cerberus in '04, but transfered over on the 4th of January. My character name on Cerb. was Bigstank. A group of my friends from Cerberus transfered and started another shell called "Roswell" (anc changed our names to "Alien") in October, so i came over to see what it was like, but they do things too late for me. So I came across this LS and decided to check it out.

Don't have any info about his playstyle or skill, but he didn't have a terribly great reputation on the server. He led a linkshell named Facade which was in regular competition for the butthole of the server. (shout wars, attempting to steal NMs, etc)

Additionally, there was this thread on Alla about him deceiving a group at Charybdis and stealing the drop: Allakhazam.com: Final Fantasy XI: Cerberus

He even replies in there gloating about his actions.

Anyway, since I don't personally know him that well and that was a long time ago I won't say definite avoid... but I would suggest proceeding with caution.

Well Bigstank didnt lead FacadeLS he was just a sackholder.
Leader of Facade was Fyzlmynyzl. Stank in my opinion is a great guy with a good
sense of humor. Pretty damn good WHM not sure about his BLM since I never saw him
use it at any events while I was still in Facade.
He will definately be a good asset to your linkshell since he´s drama free, knows his
game and is basically a very helpfull and good person overall.
Hell I can´t deny it I love that Taru and it broke my heart when he left Cerberus.

Well, until reading that I remember Stank as being a okay guy while he was in WD. Had no clue that he moved though.

Decent guy. Definitely pulled a few dick moves in his day, but easy enough to get along with if you're not the one he's dicking over. Roswell ls is a remake of Cerberus's Facade, minus a few members who didn't want to transfer.

There was a bit of minor drama involving them, and the remake of Aftermath ls on Cerberus a couple months back, but I don't recall if Big was involved with that or not. The two shells tried to merge into a new shell called Myrmidon, but it didn't work out and the Facade members backed out within a couple weeks.

He is a helpful little taru, though. I've seen him go out of his way to help a couple friends of mine in Facade quite a few times. And I've never once seen him dick over an ls-mate or friend. So, you should be safe, as long as he's on your team.

Overall, I'd say he's worth a shot. GL Big.

Nah he´s not really being a dick...he just likes to fuck with people and well
some people don´t understand his sense of humor. And no he wasn´t involved in the Aftermath/Facade merge since he was on a FFXI break at that time.

I'm gonna have to second what Vedder said.

While I didn't know the guy personally, his name became notorious across Cerberus when he was reported to have said he was going to assist a group that had claimed Charybdis but then instead stole the Joyeuse when it dropped. That and his former shell, Facade, was indeed in competition for assholes of the server.

A definite maybe, but no real info on the guy other than his reputation.

I used to really like Bigstank, he was very helpful when I was doing Zilart missions years ago and he was the kind of guy that you could randomly ask for help on anything and he would come help out.

I was never in an LS with him or anything, so I don't know him that well, but that my experience with him.

The Joyeuse thing really surprised me, I don't care if it's a 100% drop that you can get multiple times a day or something extremely rare, ninja-lotting is a dick move, and bragging about doing it on a forum is even more messed up.

If you decide to take him, I would make sure he passes on anything before the leaders do. I'd prefer to avoid those headaches, but that's just me.

This is probably like 2 years ago maybe but I remember him being in my old Cerberus LS (the DownRightFierce that I used to lead back then) and I don't particularly remember the details but I think he skipped out of one too many events and I either booted him or someone else did.

I'd probably be careful if anything.

I know some people do not like Allakazham forums here, but after that Joyuse thing (which is posted there and that is how it got "big"), I have been taunted in game a few times by Bigstank when I run into him. And I can ascertain that Bigstank at that time feels he is being proud of what he had done. I do not know what Bigstank is up to recently (may be he is different now), and certainly that Joyuse thing is probably what most people will remember him for.

IMO, it is up to you to take the risk on him. I am sure everyone have their own mess up at certain point of playing, it is just often how they handle it afterward.
