    20:00 CET(UTC +1) and 21:00 EST(UTC -5).

I don't think Greece or Israel would want to play a game at 3 AM.

I grew up with it as "soccer" but lived in Naples Italy for 8 months (Back around late 2003, early 04) where I heavily followed Serie A (Namely Juventus and AC Milan) and was introduced to UEFA. Being that it's a much larger sport world wide than anything else, they played it on the tele all day ranging from US versus Mexico matches to Premier to Champions leagues. I watched anything I could and in the end have taken up just calling it futbol/football as it's more globally known... And I was working on a NATO base where 99% of the people called it that so it made it so much easier to talk about matches without explaining to people I was talking about the crumby US NFL "football" (I can't stand the game mostly because 3 seconds of play and then 30 seconds of "what do we do now").

    So.. Football to me.

Edit: And US manages a draw against El Salvador in the last 15 minutes pulling two goals.

Also if you don't follow it, MLS (The US league) is slowly gaining popularity and with teams like Sounders FC going 2-0-0 for a first year team, that's fairly impressive. In the NW corner of the US though, football has a much larger following than other locations like the SE (At least to my experience) and in Texas I don't even think they know what the game is yet. I'm looking forward to the Sounders FC and Chelsea summer friendly though. (http://www.allheadlinenews.com/articles/7014147703) As much as my patriotism would love Sounders to win against Chelsea, I can't see this happening as Chelsea have been huge contenders in Champions and Premier these last few years.

I watched the Sounders play the MLS opener and was almost, almost intrigued. I switched to it during the breaks of basketball. To be honest, I just like how they are running their front office.

Sorry about that. I lived in Dallas for a while and never heard anything on the news about any MLS teams, but to be fair, Dallas and Houston are quite a bit away from each other so it is understandable. That and I honestly didn't really get in to MLS until this year. I remember going to a game or two at what I thought was it's conception, but I'm not so sure now. Mind you, I was only about 10 in '93 when it first came out and I lived in Baltimore so I went to (what I thought to be) D.C games as the local team, but it seemed like an in-door league which really turned me off and haven't bothered with it since. In fact I haven't heard much of it at all until I got up here and heard about Seattle's Sounders FC and started paying attention to it. Maybe it was a different league. Too many years ago to be sure though.

That's funny, that almost seems like anti topic posting, which is against the rules.

    *re-rails topic*

The Sounders-Chelsea match is just a friendly, so you never know.

Villa and Man Utd should be interesting - both teams have been struggling as of late... but Villa's confidence just seems shattered. As much as I hate to say it, I think Man U will win.

I can't wait for the Champions League to get started again next week.. Barca vs Bayern should be a really intriguing match and there's the annual snore-fest of Chelsea vs Liverpool.
