What Iphone app would you really want?

So with the new Iphone software upgrade, I was thinking of writing a few Iphone apps, and wanted to see if anyone wanted to contribute some decent ideas.

I for one would like to see:

Wireless tethering from iPhone to CPU.
Video support.
Barcode lookup (take picture of barecode, look up item, give alternate prices in nearby stores).
Harmonizer (tune your guitar with your iPhone!)
File storage ability.
Subfolder ability (touch games icon and go to games, instead of 6 pages of scrolling to right).
Photo editing.

And some other stuff. Any suggestions?

Multiplayer on iPhone is not really easy to develop right now, but the new OS version features p2p bluetooth discovery, so that may finally give developers a decent chance at writing a USABLE multiplayer platform for games.

It supports bsd sockets out of the box and has since the first version, you don't need anything to write usable multiplayer games besides someone who has a clue.

'usable' is the key word here, the other iPhone user would still have to give you information you enter manually to connect to his phone. The 3.0 OS release removes this step.

Most of these are already acessible via jailbreak: Video/Enhanced Camera functons, File Storage, Subfolders, Wireless File Transfer to name a few,

Jailbreaking has become much safer since 2.2, its pretty idiot proof and easily restorable if you do make a mistake. I jailbroke my phone about 4 months ago and haven't looked back since.

there's a "USB" app for iphone and ipod that lets you use it as a USB device without pluging it in. What it do is basically let you transfer any files you want on to the Ipod/Iphone itself through the wireless network.

finally another iphone thread, can someone post the difference between jailbreaking and unlocking and maybe a link? google fails me, I want to be able to reverse it just in case. I'm on the road a lot and want to be able to use it as an internet connection for my laptop, is this possible? and dear god please video support

Unlocking your iPhone makes it able to use other carriers like T-mobile. Unsafe, unreversable.

Jailbreaking your iPhone is like adding a magic mem stick to psp or flash card to DS. It enables you to use homebrew pretty much. You can bypass a ton of the default settings, add custom backgrounds, themes, tons more free games. Turn your iphone into an emulator, turn it into more of a computer basically. Play gameboy games, NES, SNES, whatever. Almost anything another smartphone can do that iPhone cant do, can be done via jailbreaking. There are apps for different SMS programs, adding folders to your iphone so you can organize the apps like a desktop... it's endless. You can have programs running in the background, like aim stays on and such even when you go back to home screen. Jailbreaking is very quick and simple to do as well.

Oh yeah, Jailbreaking is 100% safe and reversable. It can't brick. You just go into Itunes and restore the phone to factory. No reason not to jailbreak the phone at all, except it may become a little laggy with some things. Also, you get TONS of different sound effects and skins/themes for your apps and icons, basically everything can be reskinned including buttons and effects. I use metal gear solid sounds for my unlock/lock and texting, it's sick. Not like the "!" sound, but like the dialing with codec sounds, and turning on/off codec. The custom skins for some apps are amazing, there were some pics in another thread of someones, you can have them opaque all black whatever- amazing, there really are alot of skins, it's like reskinning your desktop icons anr toolbars with windows blinds or something, I can't think of a better example.

and like with desktops and most shit, there are thousands of different ways to skin and its all quick and easy to download. Everything can be skinned, from slidebar to unlock, to texting, to the dock bar at the bottom, everything.

How is the iphone upgrade? I'm still on the previous jailbroken version cause I have been lazy. My phone has been laggy lately going into messages and such, is this cause of too much 3rd party stuff on it from jailbreaking or cause I need the upgrade? Or both? I didn't even look up what the new upgrade did, i'll do that now.

Now that I think of it, I want Xfire on my iPhone. Any way to pull that shit off? Flash support on webpages, is there an app for this? It would be nice, almost got my whole family to switch to AT&T cause my father loves my phone, but was turned off by some faggot at best buy saying "oh you cant view many web pages cause of flash" when I haven't found that many that I can't view, fucking bitch ass. I'll just get him a phone and JB it if it already exists or is possible, maybe in the next version of the phone...... shouldn't be too long till we see that right?
