You know, I would honestly believe that if America wasn't in its own crisis. My work has already fired over 30 full-time workers, and they're practically begging the part-timers to stay. I'm too tired to fully explain myself but yeah, my manager likes me a lot and he just royally fucked up this time around. The whole "new policy" really is a new policy: nobody can a) switch their times unless it's crucial (like if he scheduled me during classes) or b) switch their hours with co-workers.

you are a college student and you have a job. dont come to work when you cant make it, if they want to keep you they will, if they dont i bet youd find another job pretty easily. they MAY even decide you are a straight shooter with upper management written all over you

Yeah, that's what I'm doing. I already called our HR lead and told her that I can't make x hours due to class interference. I also told her I'd work whatever extra hours that are taken away because of College and she was very cool about it. I like that I can get hours pulled off my schedule if it interferes with a class (I doubt there's any low-paying job that would tell you to decide between your job and your education), but I don't like how once it's in the computer there's nothing I can do about it other than call off. I refuse to do the latter though, I need the moneyz. >_>
