FFXIII Demo

I just ordered the Jap. FFVII Advent Children Sp. Edition Blu-Ray which includes the XIII demo, from what I read they aren't releasing the demo with the U.S. Blu-Ray so I decided to go ahead and order it. I read in game informer the demo is suppose to be an hour long and that they "simplified" it not allowing you to do certain things that will be in the final game. I was curious to see if anyone here has purchased/played the demo and what there impression is of it. Gonna be 1-2 weeks before mine comes in so wanted to know ahead of time if it was worth it <.<

Full demo up on youtube, nothing really to it aside from a few story bits and an attack button. Cant really do much else but get a feel for how it'll be. An interview went out after it's release saying there were many things not in the demo that are planned for final release, and the demo is just a small glimse.

Watching the video is enough for me, if you want to take that as an opinion.

I had read it had been watered down, I am still looking forward to actually getting to give it a go myself, hopefully it will not dissappoint.

if you compare how the FF12 demo (bundled with Dragon Quest 8) compared to the full version of FF12, particularly in regards to gambits and the overall flow of battles, it would make sense that this demo will only give you a taste of what FF13 will actually be like. More to whet your palette, I guess?

From having watched videos of the FF13 demo, I would say that its probably a better overall demo than the FF12 one that shipped with Dragon Quest 8, too.

That's what I was expecting and hoping for, It will nice be nice to actually play a non MMO non Final Fantasy remake again, even if it's only for an hour.
