super smash brothers brawl can never be referred to as balanced brawl. So apparently ryko got some new game that none of us know about, and I for one would like an explanation.

TL;DR they kept the physics of the game the same but removed a lot of bad character's fatal flaws and chain grabs that dont require tech chasing/jab locks. It doesnt change how the game is played for a majority of the cast, but it does put them in better balance with eachother. Some bad characters are still relatively bad but theyre much more workable than they used to be.

Ike is pretty ridiculously good now. He didn't change fundamentally except for the fact that a move that was useless is now pretty damn good. Quick draw is such a worthless move in regular brawl, in balanced brawl it works like a side B recovery should. What this means is that ike's biggest issue (that he cant recover high safely) is pretty much gone.

Assuming you have an SD with the right directories you wanna put the gct in the codes folder, the gecko folder that's inside the HBC folder (inside yet anoother gecko folder) in your apps folder, and the txt file in your sd root directory.

Then load gecko and boot the game.

f. Spear Pillar and Shadow Moses Island can have their forms selected individually by button combination

This is simple, and the button combinations are as follows:

X or Y: Dialga/Metal Gear REX
L or R: Palkia/Metal Gear RAY
X or Y AND L or R: Cresselia/Gekko

Well that's ok then. Shoulda been done that way in the first place.
