Is SCH's accessory actually drop in Dyna-Buburimu ?

It has exclamation sign in the wiki's drop list.

Um... SCH AF2 came out at the start of December 2008.

I've never seen it in Bubu. I've resigned myself to getting it in Qufim, someday... All I need (minus that AV item) for a basically perfect sch gearset :/

I've never seen a conformation from Bubu.

Maybe it only feels like years

But yeah, we've only seen one and we've done uh... 7 bubus and 7 qufims since December '08.

    Pretty shitty odds

I'm really curious about this as well as where the second drop for Dancer cape is. I know a few people who'd like both, but Valkurm and Qufim put out all the wrong items for us <_>

Did Qufim the day after SCH/BLU/COR was added, and got Argute Belt literally off the first bat we killed. Statue was already down, so can't claim first mob, but yeah... we ended up getting SCH pants and -1 feet from that run, and had one very happy SCH (not me).

Have not seen or heard of an Argute Belt dropping in any other zone, but logically it should be Bubu. Would be really nice to not be forced into doing Qufim for that one drop.

Someone told me it drops from Urganites(sp) Any ls I've have been in doesnt do those so no way of confirming. I've done crabs, efts, dhamels, birds, crawlers, mandies, and cocks on the reg since wotg was added and never seen it. So if it does drop there its either scrops, urganites, bunnies, or just doesnt want to drop ever /shrug.

Wouldn't Obi's be superior? Sorry for derail.

    no.

I got my belt in qufim off tigers very soon after sch af2 was released, we haven't seen anymore since then in any zones and we do the CoP zones quite often. For what its worth, we've never done urganites, scorps or bunnies in bubu...

Obis are better, but you cannot always have the weather you need (Especially for Thunder). It's ~36MP to cast a storm in Dark Arts mode, so you cannot afford to change the storm every time you want to nuke.

My money is on SE not adding SCH/DNC accessories to a 2nd CoP Dynamis area.

It's been 6 months and accessories aren't such a rare drop that over 6 mos. time across all servers it would never drop. I'm sure anything's possible, but the odds of it being in the drop table and *never* dropping for anyone has to be absolutely minute.

BLU/COR/PUP accessories were added only just briefly before SCH/DNC and they were all accounted for very quickly... within weeks.

What if it is the day of the week? (I.E: Iceday) No need for casting weather bonuses then unless you want double bonuses.

When obi's came up in this thread it was because someone said "aren't obi's superior?" Superior for what? nuking? sure, for things you don't get resisted on and things you have the corresponding weather on for. what about enfeebles? did you just miss a whole section of spells in which this belt is unmatched by anything in? or was someone actually claiming we should be using obi's for enfeebling magic as well? I'm kind of confused, lol.

Well, hate to derail but it bothers me when people assume obi's give magic accuracy. That claim has never been substantiated, in fact the notion been knocked by robonosto himself. Just because ickywiki says obi's give the same bonus to m.acc as they do to m.attk doesn't mean its true.

I have zero mage jobs leveld to 75 (Bard doesnt really count.) I only use my Ice obi on Corsair for Quick Draw. When I use it, I notice less resists than usual. I was really only talking about nukes though.

This is true, but even then it's a very situational piece. I'm not sure about the magic ACC argument, but quite frankly, it doesn't matter since I don't have the macro space to use Obis for enfeebles. For nukes, I would think 10 MAB > 5 INT + 2 Magic ACC. Then again, SCH easily gets resisted on mobs, so I'll leave that to the math mages to figure out (As well as the Magic ACC stuff). The RDM one post before this may be right, but I'll trust Wiki more (Since more people monitor the information) until more people back up his claim.

I would think Ebullience would help take care of some resist issues, but then again, I am not a Scholar 75 yet and just tossing this out there.

Ebullience adds pure damage. Focalization (Which is obtained through merits) adds Magic ACC (Amount depends on merits), but costs 2 charges. The goal of SCH is typically to abuse Parsimony. In order to do that, you sometimes need to forget about the other JAs available.
