I'd be pretty surprised if mmo-champ was wrong about this, apparently these are the two new races for the next expansion. Worgen to the Alliance, and Goblins to the Horde.

Do I even have to say 'fake?'
I'm hugely skeptical. Without someone from blizz flat out saying yes it's true i wouldnt put much stock in it. MMO champ is guessing.
if it does, happen, and big if, i'm hoping it's as someone was speculating and the 2 races will be neutral; you can pick horde/ally on the 2 races.
I'm not expecting a new race till emerald dream expansion.
Next one is presumed to be (because of someone catching a maelstrom server) well.. maelstrom

K. Wanna back up that argument or you gonna leave it at that? It would work just fine. That would never work.
I want to believe the Worgen part (personal dream of mine), but the Goblin part seems flat out wrong to me. Far too many neutral Goblins towns, not just a few random npcs. Would be extremely hypocritical of Gobbies to join the Horde while at the same time running a dozen or so towns throughout the game that catered to Allies imo. The whole idea is "If you are Ally, avoid or fight Horde" and visa versa. I *might* have believed Murlocs since the Horde needs a short race to play (especially if the new expansion would be Maelstrom, fishmen + water expansion=duh), but not Goblins.
Say what you will, mmo-champ is very credible and does not post speculation without indicating that it is speculation. In this case they specifically stated that they expect worgen and goblins to be two new playable races and that it was not speculation.
See, then that leads to the problem...what do you do about all the Alliance players who currently have access to Goblin-run towns? Make dozens of new FPs throughout the old games plus the new areas? Or do the Horde just ignore the fact that there's several Goblin-run towns with Alliance members being welcomed into them? Do you phase out the Goblins with another race? (what race?) What about all the Alliance npcs in those towns and quests that require Alliance members to go there?
Like I said, there's a *few* npcs throughout the game that are Horde based races that act friendly to all (or visa versa), but you're basically talking about the whole Steamwheel Cartel faction joining the Horde, which is a huge game-changing thing and I don't believe for a second.
Now, they could make a new variety of Goblin (do multiple types currently exist in WoW lore?) with a graphical difference, maybe how the Northrend Tauren look different from Mulgore's, or the Draenei/Broken differences, but I'm still extremely skeptical. It makes so much sense to me to just have a new/diff race that wouldn't create such a huge hole in the game's plot.
I'm not saying they are dead wrong, but it just doesn't...seem logical from an in-game lore standpoint. Like at all.
What do they do now about all the fel orcs and blood elves in outland? Alliance can still interact with them fine.
From what I remember, Fel Orcs run most of the Outland Horde towns, and "High Elves" are the friendly Blood elves in the Alliance towns (again, I'm no WoW lore expert). I haven't raised any of my horde toons into the Outlands, but I don't remember seeing any Fel Orcs in Alliance-based towns. Shat has some fairly friendly members/refugees of all races, but they aren't tied into the Horde/Alliance factions like Dal's is, and I'm sure everyone sees angry members of the opposite faction every time they run through Dal. That whole town is a neutral zone thanks to the Kirin Tor so there's no fighting, but in a little town run by Horde based Goblins...
Besides the Scryers, I don't know that there are any Alliance-friendly Blood Elves in Outland, and all Fel Orcs are hostile to everybody. Only 'friendly' orcs in Outland are the Mag'Har.
A lot of what's coming in the expansions following WotLK's end cycles will require lore from outside the Warcraft RTS games anyway, so I don't want to give unrealistic impressions of my own expectations, but when you say 'oh look halloween masks' and then say 'new races!' the skepticism is only natural. He's speculating whether or not he uses the word in his description of his own expectations.
Furbolgs for the new Alliance Race!
My point being, blizzard could easily add goblin as a playable horde race without retconning all the goblin factions (of which there are plenty) to be hostile.
Could be a new cartel.
And a space-goat spaceship crash landing on azeroth does?I'm not saying they are dead wrong, but it just doesn't...seem logical from an in-game lore standpoint. Like at all.
draenei are fucking stupid to begin with. (sorry if you are one). Tauren wannabes!
I'll admit, i'd bitch and moan less about this if horde gets the worgen. a rogue worgen sounds too badass for words.
Well, they did that weird "Oh you didn't know about these aliens from another planet before? Well here they are" thing. There's a term for that...I can't remember for what it's called, I'm sure someone knows. As random as they were, they didn't really twist around any of the game's previous story like this would. Adding some different colored Gobs or a different Goblin breed would be feasible I guess, but I still don't buy it until I get word from Blizz officially. And I still say Murlocs would be more awesome.
They have a funny accent, that's why I picked one to play (more like 6 with alts but ok). "Wealcome! Broase at your leasure!"
I don't care what faction Worgen would be, I don't care if the noob/terribad factor is even worse than the DK migration, I don't care if I hate every job they have, I'd roll a Worgen to 80(or w/e the cap would be) and love it. I *REALLY* want it to be true! Honest! I just can't help but be overly cautious about it though...
