Went out last night and now I'm on 3 hours of sleep with a full work day ahead of me. Does that crap actually work because I'm considering using it to get through the day.

It's on tv it must be true
Rolling out with 1 and a half fuck yeah
pussies lol, i stay up 24 hours every sunday and tuesday night for classes.
and your best bet are big can energy drinks. 5 hours will ruin your sleep and make you feel not so great. The best thing i can recommend for you is to make sure you eat on time.
if youre going to take energy drinks/caffeine, you need to know that you have to keep up with it or youre going to crash hard. its really about keeping your mind from allowing itself to sleep. You should be fine on 3 hours once you wake up enough though.
Energy drinks though, I recommend double rockstars or double nos. Monster kind of hurts your stomach if you drink 2. Drink one about an hour after the other, try to avoid caffeine after that. should be fine. (red bull works too)
and by ruin sleep i mean you will be dead tired, sleep for 2 hours, wake up and not be able to go back to sleep but your eyes will hurt and you'll feel fatigued
Yes
It's really strange though.
Energy drinks like Monster and Red Bull put me to sleep. They have the opposite effect on me. I don't even get a few minutes of energy when I drink those, I just pass out.
Yes, they work but they kill your appetite too. I took one each day for 5 days in a row one time when I was having "one of those weeks", and I didnt eat the whole 6th day, lol. Works better than energy drinks though.
Yeah I dont fuck with Monster or Redbull either unless its for boozing purposes.
severe reaction to caffeine maybe. its not supposed to happen, but ive had 2 separate nutrition classes where people in class have the same reaction even though it isn't scientifically documented.
5hr energy is basically a vitamin load/heart stimulant. The goal is to keep your heart from falling below a certain heart rate in order to keep circulation consistent so you don't feel the warning signs of fatigue. You can still feel fatigue, fall asleep, etc., because your brain still has an internal clock that knows that it's bedtime.
Best thing for you to do is keep your mind occupied. Talk to people, be involved in things, and engross yourself in anything you can. Just make sure you keep eating/snacking because the longer you stay awake, the more calories it takes to keep your body powered. If you don't eat you're going to start feeling body pains.
but you got 3 hours of sleep, so you should be fine. 2 hours can keep you going for 40+ hours if your body is in crisis mode. it really is all about how you treat your body and how mentally conditioned you are to stay awake.
your problem is more likely to be the fact that your body was not at all prepared to be awake when it was, meaning it's still getting warmed up. You really just need an activity that'll wake you up to get by.
also, i'm not advising against caffeine, because coffee will definitely be your friend right now. i'm just saying that caffeine wont be nearly as effective as the alternatives
It's got a sort-of similar effect to speed. Speed doesn't make you crash(holy oxymoron), it gets your heart racing. You stop feeling tired in your eyes, but your body still feels exhausted for the most part. Because of this you can close your eyes and try to sleep, but you won't doze off. Speed is more hardxcore than this drink, but yeah. You basically can't fall asleep, but your body will still feel tired.
i have one before going out to party they are grrrrrrreat
I take pre-party naps. Then I wake up and wreck shit.
Energy Drinks and Coffee usually put me to sleep too, however 5 hour energy seems to keep me level. I tend to have one at like 9:30 on a night I'm going out to keep me level through the night. Sometimes if I don't and a bar is kind of dead I get really sleepy
