Trigonometric Tables and Formulas

I'm looking for any page to print so I can know the exact sines, cosines, and tangents of common angles. If anyone could link me to a page so I can find these it would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Use the unit circle. It's much easier to remember the two triangles (1, 1, sqrt(2)) and (1, sqrt(3), 2) than it is to remember the nine common values.

Got something that I could print out? Anything really at this point will help. I have a trig final next week and it's open resources. Just need anything at this point.

If you're writing a program, consider using Taylor Series Approximation unless you need absolute precision. The performance cost is significantly lower.

Just wanted to weigh in noting that it's easier to remember unit circle sines and cosines if you consider ALL of those as one half the square root of the first few integers. So for degree measurements:

sin(0) = sqrt(0)/2 = 0
sin(30) = sqrt(1)/2 = 1/2
sin(45) = sqrt(2)/2
sin(60) = sqrt(3)/2
sin(90) = sqrt(4)/2 = 2/2 = 1

It then returns to 0, then down to -4, then back to 0 again to complete the circle. Cosine is almost the same but it starts with 4, goes to 0, -4, 0, back to 4. Sorry I don't have a picture or anything but just check out the unit circle pics in posts above mine and compare to what I'm trying to say.

Yeah if you look at the pic he posted, you will see the pattern.... you damn kids and the internet. I had to figure out how the relationship worked myself. My teacher never described it in the way that picture does.

Most texts, in more advanced mathematics, use those common angles for the examples used. It is worth while to realize and then memorize those relationships. The less you need to concentrate on figuring out those exact values, the more time you can spend figuring out the more advanced relationships.

I ended up memorizing the values because we used those angles a lot in the lower level physics classes. After you use them a kajillion times they sort of stick. But things would have been so much easier back then if I had just known that pattern. I can't believe I never even noticed it @_@

I'm not trolling, I can't think about a trigonomy equation/result that I used that wasn't on wiki before.



Anyway, the best things would definitively be a circle with the angle listed like Tenjou said. It would be easy to draw one in paint.

Otherwise, the one pirian posted should works, since it worked for all of us before.

That's what I did when I wasn't able to use a calculator (i.e. high school trig), but now I use one to make sure I don't make a mistake.
