i'm not really sure, i dont follow things like language studies but i think you can find some other posters here that can tell you more, its obviously a billion dollar industry cuz there are stadiums all over the country with professional word studiers.

i waste my time following sports, sports are not very popular cuz all you get to do is spectate, there is not a very large following and it doesnt generate much money, perhaps if they were more integreated into every day life, like childrens sports teams, high school, college, etc people would look at it differently

truth be told my heart is just too weak for all the excitement of word studies, like if i found out a word i used every day has some crazy latin roots i think my heart would fail from the excitement.
