    Grinding spots for Elyos

I just recently picked up this game but I can't seem to find any good guides online on where to level up or find quests for my level range. Could anyone post some sites that have guides, or if they know where to go for my level range? Right now I play a 26 Spiritmaster and just gained access to the Abyss. Thanks in advance.

Pure grind: Kaidan Mine, Elite mobs

NotasQQgrind: Training Camp until you can't repeat it anymore, then move onto Fire Temple spam.

I've never played Elyos but the 25-30 levels were cake for me leveling my chanter. Just do the training ground instance whenever you possibly can. First run gets you an entire level pretty much with the quests for it and from then on its like a half of a level per run until level 30 when you can't run it anymore.

    Live in the abyss.

Kill 2 mobs at once, grinding the first islands to the right (not sure of the name, it's the one with the ancient warriors and all the spirits) till 27ish, then move to reaper islands south of the the lower forts. Do the repeats there until 28-29, then move to the balaur on the island of root till 30-31. From there keep grinding balaur at sword island, then kysis and the crashed dregion.

Once you're 40/41 you can spam SR to get you repeats done. At 44 you can hit up theo harpies till 46, tigrics till 47, then calydons till 50.

That's what I did in a nutshell. You *will* get ganked in the abyss, but it's worth the risk. You'll get more exp in less time, you'll make a ton of ap, you'll have balaur mats for expert skilling, and you'll make a crapton of cash.

SM is godmode in the abyss since you'll always have a DP pet, and unless you get stunlocked by a ranger or sin 90% of the time you'll end up killing anyone who tries to gank you.

At 27, you can grind safely on Eyes, the bomb thing ( you can AoE and run around for 3 ticks ), amber, etc. There is an outpost on the top left island. Northwest of Sulfur Fortress. Grind here until you are 31

At 31, go to Top abyss. West of Asteria fortress, there is an island with big sword, grind on these balaur and ghosts etc.

At 34, you can go to Miren Island and grind on Fire spirits and those bugs. There are also a popular grind spot in Krotan. There is an outpost in Miren so check it out. Also the bug/ant can be used to do gold coin quest that started by the teleporter. So do it if you want stuff.

At 35/36, you can start grinding on elites in Kaiden Headquarter for your first speed boots. Ask high level SM for grind spots. There are 4 spots. There are one more that can be used if the place is crowded.

You can also grind at Lepharist Citadel for Accessories.

At 41/42, you can go to Kishar Village and start doing Indratu Teleport Quests. It will be slow but once you get the teleport quest, 50 is easy.

42-50. Indratu Barracks. 500k exp per elite at 43.

You can do various quests/instances to break the boredom is kiting elite. At 48, you can do Platinum Quest in Theobomos.

You never need to grind. Just actually play the game. Damn, wonder what the Aion community would have thought of pre-nerf XI. That was real grinding.

Idk, I'm torn with the grind on this game. It's not too bad when I actually try to level, but its just so boring. At least when I had a good party on FFXI, I enjoyed sitting there and leveling. Parties on Aion just don't seem worth it, or rather theres no incentive to group up when its faster to solo. More fun that way? Either way I'm still spamming buttons, doesn't change much to me. Maybe if there was a fun instance it'd be different, but I can't stand SR.

To me, the grind in FFXI was 1000x more boring; the only way I could stand it was incessantly talking shit about everyone in my PT to my friends in /tell or on vent. For Aion I just pop in a movie, watch TV or listen to music; I'm actually able to bear grinding because its a lot of fun on a SM or glad. Who doesn't like running around shitting on everything?

    How could you not like SR? ; ;

I can't remember the last time I had pain in my hand playing FFXI.

    Happens every day in Aion.

I blame the enforced mouse use there. Fucking bullshit.

I also play Templar, maybe that's why its slow lol. I think gear wise I'm pretty okay on, mobs die fast and I can kill lots of people in PVP one on one already. Most of the time I die because I don't feel like wasting money just to kill someone :<

It's easy to get EXP and play alone, and that is a huge pro for me. Time just moves really slowly when I'm grinding I guess. Grind for 30 minutes and that EXP bar just doesn't seem to move. 30 minutes in a merit party and I've probably gotten a merit and a half.

I think the problem is that when I leveled in XI, I knew what awaited in end game and what gear/where the job would be useful for. Aion I don't really know much about endgame aside from fort raids/upper forts/dredgion. I'm looking forward to it undoubtedly but, I don't know, I can't really put my finger on it. Everything just takes so much money to make in this game ;_; (Not that it's hard or anything at least)

SR...Maybe it's just the pick up groups I get, but it just takes forever. It feels like dynamis to me, which I absolutely hated.
