FFXI not working

Sorry if this is in the wrong thread but not sure where to post.
When I woke up this morning I tried to log into FFXI. Upon trying to load FFXI I kept receiving notice of FFXI trying to configure. Also when ever I would hit the PLAY button it would go black like normally would, but then it would go right back to the POL screens. This happens running FFXI normally and with Windower.
I ran the file checker and recieved this error:
C:/Program Files (X86)/Playonline/SquareEnix/FINALFANTASY XI/FFXIMain.dll

I used the repair function on POL, however it wont work. Every time I try log in I receive same error. Any other ideas how to fix this?

If ur using Mcaffee , check ur logs and see if it deemed 33 files as viruses. Usually ffximain.dll is one of them. Recover , rescan. Play. Or u can uninstall everything then reinstall everything. Just a reminder when u do that , make sure u got latest windower usually recast gets screwed up and ends up crashing you. This happened to me last night , and about a year ago. Every now and then Mcaffee gets a update that breaks ffxi. Which is just really dumb.

Ended up having to reinstall ffxi,roz, wotg, CoP, toah /sigh

uninstall macafee, get ESET nod32 www.eset.com
