    Anime video lag

Here in the past week or so the episodes of anime I download (FMA: Brotherhood, Naruto, and Soul Eater) kind of lag every minute or so for a couple seconds then speeds up to catch back up with the audio. It never did this before and its pretty annoying. It does it on Naruto more than anything though. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

    1) Are you sure you didn't accidently download the HD version (if you download the normal one usually)? HD video make old pc lag

    2) Scan for virus and spyware , check if any progress eat your ram and close it

    3) Try a different players or reinstall the codec/players

    4) Format and give your pc a fresh start. It always help for speed.

    First download this.

    http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/5232...l_%28serial%29

Install everything in it except for Haali media splitter. If you accidently install Haali Media Splitter I don't know how to get rid of it. I guess you can uninstall but im not sure if it counts as a separate app from coreavc or not.

After which install this. Click the yellow button.

    http://www.cccp-project.net/

Don't check or uncheck anything when you install. Leave everything as is. After install is done it will open up a settings page. Uncheck h264/avc as seen in this picture. http://sadpanda.us/images/103299-6M0LIF4.jpg

Run your videos in mpc-hc which comes with cccp and all should run fine. Normally if I have a video issue from there on I just reinstall cccp and everything will work perfectly.

While you are at it I would suggest checking to see if any programs are taking up your cpu. This was a case for a friend of mine. His virus protector was taking up 50% of his cpu and HD video unplayable like that.

Also with coreavc you can use cuda acceleration if you have a nvidia card with the latest drivers. Worth trying out possibly.

Sorry i'm a little late replying to this but is that going to affect me watching my stuff in HD? I know when I download FMA that I always download the link that says h264 1280x720 and not the Xvid one. I really enjoy the higher resolution and would hate to give it up.

It should help it run properly. CCCP is the preferred codac pack by most fansubbers. CoreAVC is a very good h264 decoder that is faster than most other decoders. You should be able to play just about anything with this set up minus a few things such as rmvb.
