For those interested - JP and NA differences

I played through to chapter 11 in the JP version, so that's all I can compare to XD

    - Mm, obvious changes, just some of the translations. The paradigm system role names are different. On top of that, the way they indicate which role is your default role is different too. In the JP version there's a flag.

    - Vanille is actually pronounced Vanilla in JP.

    - L'Cie, is actually pronounced "Ru-Shi" (Japanese way to make up for no "L" in their language, but it made things a little less confusing...)

    - "The Maker"... from what I remember, is actually referred to as "God" in JP version.

    - There's some weird lag after you use save points that is existent in the NA version that isn't in the JP version. -_- You could immediately save and then walk off in the JP version.

    - The "JPOP theme song" was actually played during the start of Chapter 3, with Snow and Serah, but for some reason, they didn't decide to play "My Hands" for the NA version... weird.

    - Ochu's could be Pre-empted in the JP version, and was a really good source of CP.

Did anyone else spot any differences? XD

Lightning's name is Eclair in the JP version, Claire in the NA.

Damn it, at the start of the game when I first saw Vanille's name I was like, fuck that, I'm gonna call her Vanilla, just because, but Vanille stuck.

You could use smoke/shrouds while running in the JP version. You stop if you bring the menu up in the English version. I rarely use them, but it's still annoying, like the save point thing.

WHAT THEY CHANGED THIS!? damn i need a new CP camp now..
only in Ch10 in English version..

Cocoon de Chocobo song is different. Its all in English (albeit not very audible). In JP the repeated line is 'We will have fun' but i think in EN the line sounds more like 'we will come back'

The Jpop theme being replaced by Serah's theme made sense tho. My hands is meant to replace kimi ga iru kara i think, not Eternal love

i think it has to do with the analog stick. apparently when u use the left analog (movement) under the shrouds menu it just moves the cursor up and down along them instead of move you.

I'm not sure what the difference is with that exactly, but something is different between the versions.

the save point thing happens if you have the left analog stick at any position besides neutral when you press X to open the save menu. Once the menu closes you have to rotate the analog stick (to get it back to the position it was in when X was pressed) to free your character up.

I think they say "We will find them", but I did notice that as well, having listened to the entire OST when it was leaked. English version of the chocobo song kinda made sense, but it was still the most random song in the game.
