Okay, I've put together the names, and we should be ready to start with this today. Here are the rules:

1) There are 48 names, chosen at a consensus between Numbers and myself based on whom we consider to be the "top 48" current spam posters. Don't take it personally if you're not chosen, but be a better/more prominent poster.

2) There are four divisions of 12 people each, paired together randomly by using this website and pairing 1 & 2, 3 & 4, etc.

3) Round 1 will consist normally, with the most votes of each pair winning. After Round 2 (quarter-finals), the winner with the largest margin of victory will receive a bye to the division finals.

4) Unfortunately we can't stop non-spam people from voting and I don't care enough to exclude them myself, so we'll have to use the honor system. Feel free to lobby for votes, but Vandoling the ballot is frowned upon and if there's enough proof I'll disqualify you.

5) I would appreciate if each poll is stickied by someone as they're put up, and de-stickied after the poll is closed. Polls will be open 24 hours from their inception, and I'll be doing one pair from each division per day.

5a) Adding this because I forgot about it: the tournament semi-finals and finals polls will be open 2 days apiece rather than 1.

6) We have prizes now! These will be divided amongst the division winners (name indicates donator):

Linliel - knit hat, to her specifications
SilverBreeze - Build-a-Bear, requested to the winner of the Darwinism bracket
Skirkle - mystery prize
Ryko - Batman shirt/hat, new
Sonomaa - spam forum mod powers, given to the winner of the tourney

If anyone else has anything they'd like to give away let me know via PM or post it here and I'll figure out how to divvy it up. The prizes will be randomized, so no one is guaranteed anything (except in the Darwin Bear case), and in the case that a donator wins their division they cannot win their own prize. If you are donating a prize please let me know by the end of Round 2, which will be Thursday the 25th at 11:59 PM EST. Oh, and thank you to all of you who donated :D

I was hoping that one of the mods would sticky polls while they're open and de-sticky when they're closed. Last year Bagel did all the polls and he could do it himself, alas I can't.
