Continuing the artery-killer sandwiches: Grilled Cheese Burgermelt

I heard you liked sandwiches, so we sandwiched your sandwich so you can sandwich while you sandwich.

This is the BurgerMelt to end all BurgerMelts. We place a thick and juicy 100% Black Angus Big Beef Burger between two whole grilled cheese sandwiches, complete with lettuce, tomato and mayo. You'll have to taste it to believe it.

That's about the equivalent of a triple-dose of KFC Double Downs.

So it's novel because it adds two more useless ass slices of bread? Looks like it's just more likely to get stuck in the roof of your mouth, not like it would taste better.

My bro in law and I got some of these from a place in Tampa where we were staying before our cruise the following week... Except they weren't pansy ass burgers, like OP's picture. They were full-on grilled cheese sandwiches, made with texas toast and three different types of cheese, a half pound burger in between, with all the dressing, and another big ol' greasy grilled cheese on the other half. I think it was something like 1800 calories, with the fries and all. SOMEHOW we both ate everything (I don't normally eat big meals, this was ridiculous)

Oddly enough, we BOTH felt hallucination-ish afterwards- we felt like we were moving around, as if on a ship, or the ground was swaying. Effect lasted about 15-20 mins I'd wager, about 10 mins in is when we realized the other person was feeling the same way. Coincidence?

    The name? Fatty Melt. Yummmm

You might as well make cheese into bullet and shoot yourself with it, though less delicious, it's definitely less agonizing when compared to all the heart burns you will be getting. I am at a loss as to why we americans continue to find dietary means to kill ourselves while we have mediocre, most expensive healthcare system around lol

/baffled, had the doubledown and don't know what the fuzz is about

I had this shit, after going to Friendlys and making fun of it with my friend, then we said "fuck it" and both got one. It was decent, but nothing like "omg I need to eat the fuck outta these till im so fat I cant get outta the booth" amazing. Same as the doubledown, have to try it at least once, but can live without having a second.

I don't mean to toot my own horn, but I've already gone ahead and improved on this innovative design to make it even more delicious: remove the 2 extra slices of bread, and place the cheese directly on the beef patty itself.

I call it the cheeseburger, and I think it will revolutionize the sandwich industry if it ever catches on.

people seem to think this is redundant not realizing that what makes grilled cheeses taste so good is the fact that they're usually fried on a griddle with butter.

It'd only be a cheeseburger with extra bread if cheeseburgers had butter-soaked buns.

1500 calories? That won't even make me bat an eye. You guys must not know that Baskin-Robbins has been making the world fat since 1946!

    Check out those large shakes.

eh, its been known that the beverages are more unhealthy for you than the burgers, most of the time. but this one kind of sucks. you dont get much bang for your buck compared to others. 50g of protein for 1500 cals? you'd still be better off with a big mac. its like 500 cals and about 30 something grams of protein? even their angus bugers can probably give this more of a run for their money than thi--- but owait. i forgot this is about overall taste.

i havent eaten a fast food hamburger in almost 1 year. i almost forgot what they taste like. but if i did eat that stuff, i would probably be open minded to this for the most part. at least just once

Screw calories, 2090 mg of motherfucking sodium?

Eat one, and you'd most definitely feel the increased heart rate.

Pfft, that's nothing. If you're after sodium absurdities, look no further than PF Chang's.

    Double Pan-Fried noodles combo = 7690mg sodium
