So I'm trying to claim a warranty on an item that is a couple months past it's warranty date. I originally bought the item from Amazon, but going to the original company for the warranty. I figured since it was just a couple months past, hey, maybe they'll be cool, try anyway even though likely won't happen.
Upon asking what they need from me, one is obviously proof of purchase. They said it needs to be a screencap of the e-mail receipt. Well, that obviously got bells going in my head, rather than hoping they'll be cool about it, why not just edit the receipt so it appears as if it's still under warranty?
So obviously, question is, chances this actually flies? I'd assume low. Since the order number is in the receipt, they could obviously just double check with Amazon to see. But, I've never really done this shit before, so I don't know. I figured I'd see what BG says before doing anything O:
