WTS i7 920 processor, aftermarket Noctua SE heatsink

Hey guys,
I recently upgraded my system and am looking to make a little back on the leftover accessories.

I have an I7 920 processor.

Also an aftermarket Heatsink from Noctua.

I have upgraded the fans on the noctua to yateloons.

The i7 920 processor would come in a 930 package with the 930 stock heatsink. The Noctua would come in an extra package (not original).

Looking to sell everything as a package for 200 (not including S/H). This is a great buy for new builds.

I was thinking of starting a new gaming build around the end of the year and this post caught my attention. Just wondering how much use these parts have seen and what condition are they in? Also, any idea what would shipping/handling would be? Thanks for the info

How old are these parts? You are selling them for almost brand new prices...

i7 930 is 200$ at microcenter, noctua 60$ new, fans 14$... $274 brand new.

These parts have seen 1 year of use. The condition is great (Processor has been cleaned thoroughly and put in original holding containers to keep it safe) (the Noctua has no damage and the fans are only a few weeks old). The 920 was stable at 3.8 with max temps of 80c in my case (ymmv depending on case, I used Thermaltake Armor MX with only 3 fans).

Only reason I upgraded was because I purchased a 930 for my wife and then two months later purchased a 980x for her. So i put the 930 in my rig and had the 920 laying around.
I expect the S/H to be about $10 (USPS or UPS) ($25 if you prefer fedex) I will be shipping two boxes (maybe both in a single box).

If you can get to a microcenter then by all means do so (and pick up the 930 for $199 or the 950 for $229). If you cant then you can buy 920 new for $265 or used for w/e you can find.
This listing is for people who are unfortunate and cannot get to a microcenter so they can get the processor without overspending. As you can see I am not hiding anything as the original post has links to new and used prices for everything.

Also for people who are not familiar with Fry's and/or Microcenter. They typically sell one of the lesser series of processors at bulk pricing to lure people into the store to buy their other stuff (which does make a profit).
In the above example Microcenter is selling the 930 and 950 at 1000 unit bulk pricing. The actual costs for these processors respectively are (using amazon) $285 and $299.

I'd be willing to drop the combo price to $220 including ground shipping anywhere in US.

You can get the combo for 260 brand new. I already have a 920, I would never sell a 1 year old processor for that much. To be fair to others I don't think that package is worth even $110.

Especially since if you have an inside deal with Intel you can get a 930 for like 100 bucks. Just being honest.

However, it all boils down to what is it worth? The person paying the money can only decide.

I would also like to point out your target market:

the 920 is a x58 Chipset, therefore, you need to purchase a motherboard if you do not have one (thus adding to the total)
If you already have an x58 (LGA1366), you probably already have at least a 920. many of the other i7 processors use the x55 chipset (LGA 1156). so if you are upgrading from say.. an i7 860, it will not be compatible with the 920.

To get a new crap, and I mean crap, motherboard you will need to spend at least 130 for an LGA 1366.... if you get an Asus, which is what I use, and suggest. You will be looking at about 200 for a decent board.

While I appreciate everyone's enthusiasm, it is difficult to tell who is serious and who is not. Please PM if you are seriously offering to buy (combo only please). Despite the arguments made here I am not selling processors in bulk or laundering parts from intel. If you wish lively discussion please keep the arguments relevant.

I am still holding at $200 (220 with shipping estimate). I know the hardware works well together and have given my results out freely (3.8 @<80c). If you wish screen shots of my BIOS settings I can provide them as well. This processor and heatsink combo is not a shot in the dart where you hope you get what the seller is offering (or dealing with possible DOA). I am offering a processor that has been tested and am maintaining that it is of good quality.

I will once again mention I am looking for serious buyers. I am not looking for a profit, just hoping to get something back in return for helping someone establish a budget build for a decent rig. Thanks!

Ok you made a big mistake, upgrading to a 930 from a 920 was a waste, its basically the same chip with a tiny overclock. If you sold the 930 brand new, would have really got most of your money back.

I know some people are looking for pawn shop prices, but you aren't going to find an I7 in a pawn shop.

You are either buying one new for 265 or buying used online. I linked Amazon above and its used prices range from 150+ (for processor alone) [at least a few days ago they did, the 150 and 180 sold already... next lowest is over 200].

Some people said search ebay, so I did.

These are the lowest prices for used (with a few 'new' in there) over the last couple of days. (I am beating some of them by a large margin)

When I offer the 920 and a quality aftermarket heatsink with upgraded fans for only $200 (220 +S/H). I am cutting the buyer a good deal.

There have been three arguments presented:
Your parts are a year old you cant sell them for new prices, I can find a 930 at a microcenter for $200, and I have a buddy from intel who can get me an I7 for $100 so you should too.

#1 Intel warranty for an I7 is 3 years, The processor is only a year old. This means this processor has at least two years guaranteed. Ignoring the age, Processors rarely, if ever die of old age. You will be upgrading (not anytime soon out of necessity as I7s are around to stay)long before this processor dies unless there is user error, hardware failure, or an electrical surge. Also, depending how you price the heatsink and fans you are getting the I7 for about half price. HALF price is substantially lower than full price, you can do the math and clearly see it is not being offered for even near new.

#2 Sure, you can find a processor for 200 at a microcenter but you would not be looking here if you could get to one. And after the processor you still have to fork over another 50-150 for a quality heatsink if you wanted to OC.

#3 Please hook us up with your buddy cause we would all appreciate a good deal (odds are this is illegal as im sure intel does not appreciate someone working for them selling their hardware without giving intel its share or by abusing any in house discounts).
