I downloaded this onto my computer via windows Updates, another update came up & downloaded it,it poped up directly after for the 3rd time, At this point i decided to reboot my computer thinking there might be an error causing it to keep it poping up, on reboot it downloaded the Same update again, silverlight(k<digits>),

On the reboot there was a short burst of a blue screen with wrighting, after that i went on ff11 and logged on msn, where my computer crashed, and another short burst of the blue screen showed up, and i rebooted again and everything was fine,
Now my running 9Generic Host Process for win32 Service..

I did a viruse Scan and a Spybot Scan both coming up clean, Any assitance would be appericated

you could try a system restore to before it installed and try to stop it if it tries to install again.

This. Retrace your computer back to before you downloaded it, it's hard to get it off your system.

Is it? Netflix uses it and I quite like how it gives the option to stay in full screen while doing other stuff on the PC which was handy for multiple monitors. Other than that though, I don't know anything else that uses it.

Xbox site uses it as does Bungie.net for stuff like Halo videos. I haven't come across anything else that uses it but I've never had any problems with it either.

You really need to figure out what's causing your BSoD's or it could lead to serious damage to your computer. I recommend using something like BlueScreenView http://download.cnet.com/BlueScreenV...-10965136.html which will show you detailed info about your crash and help you pinpoint the cause so you can deal with it asap.
