Best T-Mobile Android Phone?

What is the best Android T-Mobile phone? This will be my first smartphone, and I plan on trying to program on it (I know the android API is terrible, I've already taken a class). I'm also going to be using it for a great deal of intrnet browsing when I'm away from a PC, and will definitely download and play apps, so I'd like a decent battery.

I'm currently looking at the Samsung Galaxy S II. Are there any other phones I should consider?

Might be worth it for Gingerbread. Personally, I bought a Galaxy S a while back and it sucks fucking balls and Samsung is full of cunts that push updates so I'm waiting for a new HTC phone or some shit.

But yeah, T-Mo's selection right now isn't stellar. I'm going to hold out for something better than what's offered now.

The Galaxy 2 is the best, but the Nexus S is getting ICS pushed out to it already. When the Galaxy 2 gets ICS pushed to it, it will be amazing.

I have to say I was very shocked with the 4g slide a co worker got it and he let me screw around with it. Its a very solid phone. Mind you I still think the GS2 is one of the most bad ass phones ever made.

Just saying the slide is something to look at.

I loved my T-Mobile G2, and I love physical keyboards. So that's why I chose the MyTouch over the Galaxy 2.

Galaxy S2 - touchwiz loaded? I like vanilla.

Galaxy Nexus (import) - its a google phone, updates for it will always come first. For example look the Nexus S is already being pushed ICS. Unlocked bootloader, what more could you want? I have this, and would recommend it to anyone in the market for a phone.

I have it on Sprint because it first came out there and I needed a phone and was impatient.

I would have rather had it with Tmobile, but ah well -- Sprint's been nice to me so far.

Anyway -- The phone itself is slick and amazing. Always quick and can do goddamn near everything. Sometimes it "freezes" but I don't even have to do anything and it kinda quick reboots itself.

The ONLY problem I've had with it is when charging it gets super slow/laggy -not all the time- and not sure why. (But probably from the heat. --In which it auto shuts down to prevent overheating.)

Thanks for the advice everyone. I ended up asking for the GS2 for Christmas.

I'm so glad I'm finally getting a smart phone... it's about time, considering I'm a CS major.

Oh, wow, never even had one? I didn't catch that. They are definitely helpful tools. I will say that the cameras on the GS2 were the final decision for me. Very nice back camera and a decent front facing one. I love to take pictures.8MP phone photos turn out looking very nice.

Anyone else having problems with sound volume in Nexus?

Mine's goes up and down randomly, and when I try to update it, it says there's no update.



I know there's a bug, and the fix is out in the USA, but not sure if they rolled it out in the UK or not... or i missed it hmm

Don't think they rolled out an OTA update for UK. You'll have to flash one of the fixes on XDA forums.

anything you want to no about android ask in the android topic. Tons of us use smartphone's and have had many android phones.

90% of what you want to no can be found by people on this forums. Root, apps you need to have and all that junk.

Iv never owned a GS2(been thinking of picking a broken one up and fixing it) but i no we have a few users around here.
