vague background: friend got on a locally aired singing contest which is basically trying to be american idol but with re-re judges who all think they're going to be the Simon of the group. I guess by the end of the show's run they're going to pick three winners who will get $10,000 and an audition at a major record company.

gonna be upfront and say if you see it, you'll think she wasn't the best out of the group (they first audition out of 30, she was chosen as one of the top 8 for this week's run), but fuck it, she did well and I'd really really want to see her get to the next round and hopefully get some of the nerves out of her system. I don't want to mess up her chances though by posting here if it's going to hurt her more than help.

she will be! One of the reasons why I'm afraid to ask lol. She actually used to be extremely overweight, but recently got gastric bypass surgery. She's lost a fuckton but hasn't gotten to the point where she can do plastic surgery to get rid of the extra skin.
