Verizon iPhone 4s to T-mobile?

Would it be possible to buy a used Verizon iPhone 4s, get it unlocked and use it on T-mobile like the AT&T's phone?

If you can score yourself an iPhone 5 from Verizon, it's GSM component is actually unlocked and you can use it on tmobile.

Edit: and yes, AT&T unlocked iPhone 4S can use on tmobile.

I thought it was the 4 that has separate CMDA & GSM while the 4s support both CMDA & GSM that's why they called it "world phone" ??

As far as I understand the Verizon 4S is band locked so it could not read the tmobile frequencies.

Edit: I don't know about jailbreaking and unlocking that way though, I guess there is a possibility to do it that way?
